About So Noted / History

The group was formed in September of 2008 after auditions were held by our umbrella organization Contemporary A Cappella. After a few additions to and subtractions from the group, we ended up with 14 girls by mid-November.

Around the same time, at a group-wide social, the group voted on its name: So Noted.

So Noted has competed in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) twice - in 2009 and 2011. We have been selected to compete at ICCA again in spring 2012! We also attend the SoJam a cappella festival every year in Durham, NC.
